KIST-Hoya Hometech Co., Ltd. holds a signing ceremony for technology transfer of carbon composite materials for building materials

The Jeonbuk Composite Materials Technology Research Institute of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) held a signing ceremony with Hoya Homtech Co., Ltd. for the transfer of technology to "carbon composite materials for building materials with thermal conductivity, heat storage and flame retardancy."

The Korea Institute of Science and Technology said on the 11th, "Dr. Yang Chul-min's team succeeded in transferring the technology after securing technology related to carbon composite materials for ondol panels of building materials with excellent thermal conductivity, heat storage and flame retardancy."

With the support of the Korea Research Foundation, Dr. Yang's team conducted a study on the development of high dispersion/high concentration conductive graphene-polymer intermediate manufacturing technology based on graphene oxide.

Dr. Yang's team transferred the technology developed through this study to Hoya Homtech Co., Ltd., an ondol panel producer, to enable large-scale production.

As a result, the carbon composite material developed by KIST has been applied to the ondol panel of Hoya Homotech Co., Ltd. to ensure excellent thermal conductivity not only in the horizontal direction but also in the vertical direction.

In addition, it has the strength of semi-permanent durability due to its simple facilities for technology application and low cost.

Hoya Homotech Co., Ltd. has established a factory in Gunsan National Industrial Complex that can produce 200,000 sets of ondol panels based on monthly production (factory 1 and 2), and has large-scale mass production facilities.

Kim Jin-sang, head of the Jeonbuk Institute of Science and Technology, said, "KIST Jeonbuk Institute of Materials Technology has transferred the results of carbon composite material development and achieved export results based on the technology." 출처 : KIST-(주)호야홈텍, 건축재용 탄소복합소재 기술이전 조인식 개최 - 전북도민일보 (domin.co.kr)
